LibreOffice Calc - Delete empty rows. Your non-empty lines will reappear. LibreOffice Writer Spelling not working. Isn't this useless empty paragraph (no one created, so hard to remove) a major bug? Alias duel zone ( 2014-08-29 12:21:13 +0200 ) edit problem remains with lo 5.0. I don't have a page issue but have to change the unwanted paragraph after my.
Hello everybody! In the 'Search and Replace'-Help Tutorial as well as on several webpages I found the command ^$ to remove empty lines. But I can't get it to work! Whenever I use this search command, I get the answer 'Search Key Not Found', even if there are dozens of empty lines. What am I doing wrong? (The $ - command for paragraph-endings usually works fine, but the ^ - command for paragraph beginnings never gets me any results, so I guess, the problem is connected with the '^'-part of the command.
Does anybody have an explanation?) Thank you in advance! I tried all your advice, but none works. My empty lines show up with this backward-P, but the search engine still does not find them, neither with ^$ nor with n. ^$ finds only the very last line in the whole book (!!), n finds at least the empty lines I want to keep (between chapters, scene breaks etc.) But those annoying empty lines in the middle of sentences and dialogues are still undetectable. I would really like to find another solution but to erase them manually (there are quite a lot of them.) By the way: With the 'View unprintable characters'-option not only the backward-P shows up in those lines, but an arrow for the indent as well. Might this be the reason for my problems?
Does anybody know the search command for an empty line with indent? Best regards, Arianna.
